Terms and Conditions: Candle-Making Workshop
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. This is a legal agreement between The ME Project and you, which governs the conditions of services rendered.
Workshop Registration & Attendance
By purchasing a ticket for a Candle-Making Workshop, you agree to abide by The ME Project’s Terms and Conditions, including our Rescheduling Policy, Late Policy, and Liability Waiver.
Rescheduling Policy
- No refunds will be issued.
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
- If The ME Project cancels the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, attendees will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Late Policy
- If you will be more than 10 minutes late, please contact The ME Project.
- If you arrive 30+ minutes late, your spot may be forfeited without the option to reschedule. This ensures the best experience for all participants.
General Conditions
- Tickets must be purchased in advance to secure your spot.
- Workshops have limited seating.
- All materials are provided, and attendees will take home their handmade candle.
The final product may look different from the photos used for promotional purposes.

The ME Project Workshop Waiver of Liability:
(For any and all of The ME Project’s, candle-making events)
RELEASE/WAIVER: I hereby agree to indemnify and hold The ME Project, and its employees entirely free from any liability, against any and all claims for personal injuries or damages arising from participation (by myself, and or participating minor) in any candle-making workshop, classes, or private events. This includes financial responsibility for injuries incurred (by myself, and or participating minor) both on and off-premises of The ME Project, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
PHOTO/VIDEO CONSENT: The ME Project reserves the right to use photos, videos, and other media taken during classes, workshops, and other events for publicity materials and social media. Registration in events gives The ME Project permission to use those images without further consent or compensation.
PHOTO/VIDEO MINOR CONSENT: I hereby give permission for images of the minor, captured during candle-making through video, photo, and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of The ME Project’s promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.
MEDICAL ATTENTION: I hereby acknowledge if an allergic reaction or skin irritation occurs (by myself, and or participating minor) from the fragrance oils and or materials exposed during or after the candle-making event, I hold harmless and release any, and all liability from The ME Project, as well as any owners or employees of The ME Project for any condition or result, that may arise as a consequence of medical attention being required.
HAZARD ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I understand the risk involved as the nature of melted soy wax at high temperatures which may rise up to more than 200 degrees Fahrenheit and hot equipment including, but not limited to, hot glue and pouring pots, it is the responsibility of the acknowledged to ensure caution (by myself, and or participating minor). The ME Project and its employees cannot accept liability for any personal injury or damages suffered related to or involving the premises of the event or participation in activities by The ME Project. Every effort is made by The ME Project, and its employees to ensure your safety while at the event premises and during the course of the workshop or private event.
ALCOHOL: If I am to consume alcohol, I agree that I am over the age of 18 and will drink responsibly and do so at my own risk. I affirm I have designated a driver or will call for transportation or a responsible driver in the event I am too impaired to drive. The ME Project will not provide alcohol, however upon approval of the host and the type of event BYOB (“Bring Your Own Bottle”), will be approved. The ME Project holds the right to ask any participant for ID prior to entering the premises and if they are found under the age of 18. Access will not be allowed and a refund for that individual will not be given.
I confirm that as the purchaser of the Candle-Making Workshop, I hereby acknowledge that I have reviewed the entirety of the Terms and Conditions and Waiver of Liability (above) and agree to inform each attendee/guest of the terms mentioned detailed above. I acknowledge that the workshops and/or activities offered by The ME Project may involve inherent risks, dangers, and hazards that may result in injury or illness (by myself, and or participating minor). I hereby agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify The ME Project, its managers, members, and employees from any and all claims, actions, or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, or otherwise, which may arise from (by myself, and or participating minor) in voluntary participation in any workshops or classes, resulting products from workshops or classes, or from use of equipment provided by The ME Project. I accept full liability for the candles made (by myself, and or participating minor) during the workshop which I acknowledge for.
