However, please note that burn times can vary depending on factors such as environmental conditions.
Yes! Our candles are both Vegan-friendly and Eco-friendly. We use all-natural coconut soy wax (which is non-toxic and is derived from plants), and sustainably sourced and FSC-certified* wooden wicks. We also make our own vessels to reduce transportation emissions, and our production process creates less waste and less energy consumption. Our candles also provide a longer-lasting burn than your typical paraffin wax candle!
While we acknowledge that perfection is a journey, we constantly strive to enhance our practices and make our brand even more environmentally friendly as we grow. By carefully selecting sustainable, eco-friendly materials from local Canadian businesses and employing eco-conscious manufacturing processes, we aim to minimize our ecological footprint and contribute to a healthier planet. We are always open to feedback and eager to find new ways to enhance our practices. We value your input, so if you have any suggestions or ideas for improvement, we would love to hear them.

Candle Troubleshooting
Wood wicks sometimes need a bit more time and patience to get going, but here's a few troubleshooting tips that might help:
- Using a wick trimmer or your finger, trim off the top black end of the wick before lighting.
- Give the wick a quick check for any debris that might be blocking it. Sometimes, dust or gunk can gather on the wick and make it hard to stay lit. Just grab a pair of tweezers or a toothpick and gently clear away any gunk you see.
- Make sure to keep an eye on the wax pool, too. If it gets too shallow, it can snuff out the flame. Before you light up the candle again, scrape off any extra or hardened wax around the wick to keep things clean and the flame steady.
- Don't forget about the environment! If there's a draft or breeze around, it can mess with the wood wick's ability to stay lit. Try moving the candle to a cozier spot or use a candle snuffer to keep those pesky drafts away.
- Let the candle burn for at least two hours on the first go, and one to two hours for future burns. That'll help the wood wick stay lit and keep tunneling at bay.
Candle tunnelling is when a candle burns down the center, leaving a hollow tunnel while the wax around the edges remains unburned, resulting in an inefficient and uneven burn.
However, there's no need to worry! Candle tunnelling can be fixed pretty easily. Here are a few tips:
- For mild tunnelling, here are a couple of solutions:
- Scrape away the excess wax using either a spoon, a butter knife, or a spatula (careful not to scratch the concrete surface). You can either toss out the excess wax or re-melt it.
- Use the lowest setting on your hairdryer until excess wax melts and the surface is level.
- If you have a candle that has excessive tunnelling, you can try the aluminum foil method to resolve it. This method helps retain heat and encourages the wax to melt evenly and fill in the tunneling areas.
- Gently wrap a piece of aluminum foil around the container, leaving only a small hole at the top of the candle exposed to allow the heat and smoke to escape.
- Leave the foil on for 2-3 hours or until the wax has melted evenly.
- Remove the foil carefully and use caution as the foil will be hot, and allow the candle to burn normally.
Our concrete jars are made to be repurposed.
- Gently scrape and scoop out the remaining wax. Be careful not to scratch or damage the concrete surface.
- Fill the vessel with hot, soapy water (not boiling!) and let it soak for a few hours. This helps loosen any residual wax or debris.
- Use a soft brush, sponge, or paper towel to scrub the inside of the vessel, removing any remaining wax or residue. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the vessel to air dry completely before repurposing it.
Now that your concrete candle vessel is clean, you can repurpose it as a plant pot, a pen holder, or a bathroom organizer!
